Beware of Canola Oil
by Jim Lynn - Editor EOO
Canola Oil is an Industrial Oil Not Fit For Human
Consumption.
This article disputing the benefits or not of Canola oil
has been discredited by many sources. We do however
believe that eating any oils which are not well
processed - that is by cold pressing in a highly
controlled environment to maintain the integrity of the
oil and avoid oxidations and destruction is highly
important. It is also important to note that canola is
grown with the assistance of many pesticides and other
chemicals and that in itself is a questionable process.
We only recommend the use of oils such as virgin olive
oil, and good quality coconut oil - which has been
treated in an environmentally friendly manner without
the heat treatment which destroys the health giving
properties of all oils.l

DR. MERCOLA'S COMMENT:
I placed this article after the soy article as they are
two of the more common foods that many nutritionally
oriented "experts" will attempt to convince of are
healthier alternatives. It just seems best to stick with
olive oil as a source of omega-9 oils that are high in
mono-unsaturates. Olive oil has been around for
thousands of years and this new genetically modified
canola oil for a few years. Which do you think is best
time tested in the laboratory of human physiology? Many
thanks to Brigid Kemp from British Columbia, Canada who
forwarded me the above article.
with thanks to Dr Mercola.
